Banpo Bridge, Seoul

A marvelous bridge in Seoul was built in 1982 in the city centre, above the river Han.When the level of water rises, the lower platform is flooded and closed.This bridge is both a pedestrian and a cycling path. What makes it special is a large number of water pumps (38). Besides pumps, on each side of the bridge there are sprinklers which spray 190 tons of water per minute, so the bridge looks as an enormous fountain.
